Isn't 24MP enough? Circling the proverbial rabbit hole..

I started with the D600, then D610....to D850. I love the Nikon, but actually ended up selling that last one for A7R4, which I also enjoy. But for studio and magazine print (which I'm hoping to get more into) isn't 24mp enough? I ask because I have the possibly insane idea to grab an old D610 (just sooo cheap now) to make permanently to my ART 50, my favorite lens on the FX setup (the Sony is just too awkward with this). Maybe this is silly, but some of my best work ever was with this setup.

It's interesting to see a lot of editorial and commercial types grabbing high-MP bodies, but most of their work will be on webpage print and in a magazine. Yes, croppability helps, but still.

One of my favorite photogs (https://www.instagram.com/joeyldotcom/?hl=en) uses a Leica SL (24mp) and a IQ250 for all his work. I guess if he can get by with the 24mp Leica, I can handle a D610 as a backup hahaha.

Anyone else struggle with this, the ever-climbing MP aspect of photography?
