I have a question related to that if anyone on the thread still owns the R. Anyone has difficulty in reaching the screen comfortably for touch and drag with the thumb while keeping the remaining fingers wrapped around the grip and on the shutter?

Thanks.

Try setting the touch and drag AF to use the top right quadrant of the screen, with relative positioning. Then you'll only need to drag in a small region in the top right corner of the screen, using multiple swipes to pull the AF point across the field.

I don't own the R. I'm considering it. I'm aware of that option but wondering if that's enough to be able to swipe comfortably without having to move the hand from the grip, since it's a deeper grip than on other Canon ILCs. Not having an occasion to try it where I am. Thanks!

I don't have the slightest problem, but I often feel like Canon cameras are designed specifically for me.

Oh bummer , I thought they where all designed for me 😎

Sorry.
