G9 Native resolution at 180 for high quality jpg - seems low to me.
1

As a general rule, I shoot mostly in high quality jpeg mode which gives me a 20mb image at 180. I have had past cameras that provide 300 ppi files in high quality jpg mode but the G9 seems to only go to 180.

Supposedly 180 is enough to print up to 16x20 and while I usually don't print much over 12x18 and am mostly satisfied with the results I get, I'm just wondering if the native 180 ppi is considered to be on the low end for printing.

It seems like most printing recommendations are to use files that are 240 to 300 ppi. Would there be any need or advantage to res my files up from 180 to 300 for supposedly a better print?
