Using a DX AF-P 70-300mm on Z6, would the FX version of that lens make much of a difference

Hi, I have been using a DX version of the AF-P 70-300mm VR on my Z6 and was wondering if the FX version of this lens would be a better choice for me.  I use it for perched birds.  With the DX version the Z6 24mp is dropping down to 10mp.  I was thinking I may get more detail (feathers, etc.) with the FX version at 24mp.  Does anyone have any experience with this that they may share.  Thank you, Tom S.
