EOS Ra Red Halos... design issue?

The Canon EOS Ra is a specialized EOS R version for Astrophotography. Under expert hands it is certainly capable of amazing results...

However, the Canon EOS Ra has also a design problem with its sensor filter stack generating strong red halos reflections (with bright light sources like stars and others). See for example:

After testing my own camera, I concluded that I had to return it since it is not proper for its main advertised purpose and I cannot see a reasonable way to correct the issue. After all, this camera is aimed at people who want an Astro camera that just works, being superbly engineered…. At least that was the expectation!
