If you love small good primes, M is your system.

Unless you want one that's wider than 22mm or longer than 32mm...

Both are excellent.

The 16 mm one isn’t exactly small

It isn't exactly large either, although it's larger than the other Sigma EF-M primes. There's not a lot to compare it with when it comes to crop sensor primes. There's an older Fuji 16mm F1.4, which is 40gm (one and half ounces) lighter, 17mm shorter, and more than twice the price. If you want F1.4 in something like 16mm, there's a limit to how small and light you can make it.

For a system as a whole it's not always a problem if just one lens is a bit bigger. It still can be compact with other lenses.
