Shooting landscape with stars
8

Plan to start shooting night landscapes with stars.

Found a closed old thread ( Lens to shoot Milky way) and thought it would be a good idea to start a new more updated thread to discuss this topic?

Found a lot of useful youtube videos. Liked this guy a lot: Nightscape Images

Downloaded the PhotoPills app with a lot of very useful functionallity. For instance calculate max shutter for sharp stars using NPF rule.

Bought Sigma 16mm f/1.4 that should be one of the best M43 lenses for this genre. If I need to go wider I plan to do panoramas.

Here is my very first picture (with 17mm f/1.8). I'm quite pleased taking into consideration this is my first. The foreground are out of focus... Can't wait for the next oportunity with clear dark sky and my new 16mm.
