R6 thinks my Sigma 14mm f/1.8 Art has IS

To use IBIS with an Image Stabilised lens, the IS on the lens must be switched on.

Whether the IBIS is actually working in conjunction with EF or third-party lens IS is (frustratingly) unclear. Some reputable sources have suggested IBIS does not use synchronicity, which is why some non-IS RF lenses are able to get 7 or 8 stops of stabilisation.

My R6 unfortunately thinks my Sigma 14mm f/1.8 Art lens has IS (which it definitely doesn't). This makes it impossible to use the camera's IBIS, because I cannot turn on IS that doesn't exist.

Has anyone else come across this issue? Is there a fix?
