Nothing wrong at all with that approach.  It needn’t be only one or the other.  In fact there are compelling reasons to opt for both!

In my own case my first priority is small size.  I sold my DSLRs and big old lenses, and now the M System is my tool of choice.  Having an outstanding body like the M6ii cements that relationship.  It is very capable.

However if a person has other priorities (or additional needs), there are certainly other systems that can provide things like augmented low light capability, even more advanced eye AF, more lens options, or in my case enhanced BIF abilities (R5).

So you’ll have to do some more soul searching (know thyself!), and also keep getting a better idea of what the various options can do for you.  Match those up the best you can.
