PL 100-400 detaching from G9 - is there a way to secure it?

Hi everyone,

i have had a few incidents with the PL 100-400 detaching itself from the G9. This seems to happen when I am walking around with the camera+lens in my hand or resting against my arm.
I assume that what happens is that I inadvertently touch the lens release button, although I am not aware of doing it. So far I have been extremely lucky, having always manage to grab the lens before it would fall to the ground. Has that happened to any of you?

So i am wondering if there is something I could make or buy to have a strap or something like that that would at least stop the lens from falling to the ground if it becomes detached from the camera.
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help.
