Black Skimmer Food Exchange

The inbound adult with fish is from one sequence and the chick getting the fish from another. These exchanges happen very quickly with one adult coming in with a fish at the same time as many others have none so you have to spot the fish and then follow the adult with fish to the chick and frequently they land behind a patch of tall grass. Another approach is to stay on a chick and eventually an adult will visit with a fish. I'm not that patient...

The chicks spread wings is a defense it learned to keep it's siblings away. They have not made it yet it continues the behavior. I used a warming filter in post for the first 3 images and it did not look good on the last 3 so I left the natural shaded look. The grass is now too tall for a lower angle which I'd love to use.

Comments and suggestions welcome,
