Thanks for the tip on the subject/background separation - I've read about it, but didn't think of it here. Definitely helps and will be very useful indeed!

I don't need an outstanding separation - just a visible separation in terms of bokeh is what I'm looking for - besides separation bokeh also adds a little bit of mistery to the background in my opinion.
