Nikkor 50mm F1.8 S - change aperture?
1

Hi folks. Bit of a noobie question here, so bear with me.

I recently bought a used Nikon Z6 with the Nikkor 50mm F1.8 S lens. I have tried to change aperture, but can't seem to figure out how. I've read online that the sweet spot of this lens isn't wide open, so it's extremely frustrating that I can't change the aperture. I hold down the +/- button and then rotate the command wheel, but it still says F 1.8. It's locked at F 1.8 it seems. I also tried changing the function of the lens ring from focusing to aperture, but that didn't help either. The only thing I can adjust is ISO and shutter speed.

And yes, I'm in manual mode, I've also tried A-mode.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is the lens in question, if something was unclear:
