R5 / R6 with older EF lenses?
1

Has anyone used an R5 or R6 with older EF glass, I'm looking at its function with my 300mm f/2.8 L IS version 1. Its a 20 year old design, and when I used the EOS R on it the continuously running IS was an issue. Sounded like a train coming, undoubtedly ran down battery, and guessing wore down an already old IS motor. And yes, it still ran when I turned off IS on the lens. What I'm hoping for with the R5/6 is that if the body wants the lens IS to run constantly, I could still turn it off on the lens and rely on IBIS for handheld use. Thanks.
