I have quite a few batteries but that's not the point. The camera is always in "max speed" mode for no real reason.

Smart phones have it (called "power management") why not cameras too?

Actually it would be easy on many of the m43 cameras to set it up for really low power and save that setting to a memory to be recalled, or used when power is getting low:

Example: lowest EVF refresh rate, AFS, no high res, no bracketing, no GPS, no WiFi, no stabilisation, etc.

It would be up to the user to keep an eye on the power drain.
