For instance I like to have a birding setup all ready to go at a moment's notice (7D2 + big honking telephoto lens). Currently waiting for my R5 to ship to replace the 7D2.

Thinking of doing the same with my 7D MKII and also selling my R as I think the R5 will cover all my needs for full frame sports and wildlife and I'll only need to carry one body.

The outstanding performance of the M6 Mark II showed me what all this new technology is capable of (it beat the snot out of my 7D2), so I knew that the R5 would be the body I'd have to get for my birding setup . Esp after the BIF testimonials started coming in.

The R5's have been scarcer than hen's teeth though, and after mine was delayed yet again this week I had to think long and hard about perhaps getting an (available) R6.  But nah.
