Leaf Peak Color in Northern Colorado
14

The trees in the area near Grand Lake in North Central Colorado were at peak color when we camped there this week.  The narrow-leaf cottonwood along the Colorado River were as beautiful as I've ever seen them.  Our forests have a lot of beetle killed timber which makes for dark backgrounds.  I waited for 1/2 of an hour for the sun to peak through the clouds and was rewarded with some nice backlight orange tinted Aspen against a dead forest.  Hope you enjoy these and feel free to edit, comment, offer suggestions.
