Help me understand the main differences between A9 vs A9II (mechanical shutter and DR)

I have been thinking about supplementing my A6600 which to some extent is a great sports/action camera, with A9 or A9II but after watching many reviews I am very confused as far as gains and loses.

As I am able to rent A9 for a test, A9II is not available for rent around my place. So...

Can anybody explain in simple words main differences between A9I and A9II as far as IQ/DR/improving shadows and mechanical shutter which is important for strobes/flash? Please.

From what I understood DR in A9 is w bit worse than in A6600. A9II has the same as A6600. Maybe I suffer from pixel peeping in PP using my 2560x1440 34 inch monitor but I know I have been struggling a lot to balance DR/low ISO/shadows/sharpness in my pictures.

I love shooting such action. If possible I like to use Godox flash with its limitation of recycling time or other source of light to overpower the sun, keeping high shutter and wide aperture.
