So no new Sony APS-C sensor (Sony sensor launch info thread)

It seems there's a lot of misinformation being thrown out about Sony sensor launches and I just wanted to give people references to cull out bad information in the future.

I think it warrants another thread, or we'll keep having threads like the below based on old sensors (like the IMX342) being presented as new ones and then people drawing all kinds of wild claims about how it points to MFT not being viable.

Thread likely based on this article:

First of all, there haven't been a new APS-C sensor release since 2018. You can see all the dates when Sony posts new sensor spec sheets here (note sometimes they post before an official press announcement, sometimes they post it after it was already used in a camera, some sensors never appear on the catalog, example IMX270 in E-M1 II):

https://www.sony-semicon.co.jp/e/products_info/2018/

APS-C sensors:

September 7, 2018 - IMX342 (31.4M, 4:3, 35fps, global shutter industrial sensor, the one mentioned in above thread).

November 20, 2018 - IMX571 (26M, 3:2, 16fps, BI consumer sensor), IMX271 (24MP, 3:2, 19fps, FI consumer sensor)

4/3" sensors:

July 21, 2017 - IMX294 (11M, multi-aspect, 60fps, Quad Bayer BI surveillance sensor)

September 7, 2018 - IMX367 (19.6M, 1:1, 43fps, global shutter industrial sensor)

October 16, 2018 - IMX387 (16.8M, 16:9, 61fps, global shutter industrial sensor)

November 20, 2018 - IMX269 (20M, 27 fps, FI consumer sensor, used in Yi M1), IMX272 (20M, 60 fps, FI consumer sensor, used in GH5), IMX299 (11M, multi-aspect, 60fps, Quad Bayer BI consumer sensor, used in GH5S)

September 20, 2019 - IMX492 (47M, 24 fps, industrial sensor)

You can see 4/3" has not only more sensors released, but also a newer and higher resolution one.
