25fps with 1/180s (shutter speed), WHY? WHAT FOR?

Hi guys,

I've seen a few of professional process of filmmaking.

They're professional people who shoot lots of TV series and movies.

But they film it 25fps with 1/180s and I just don't know why.

As far as I know the best shutter speed is based on 180 degree rule, so if they are shooting 25fps then shutter speed should be 1/50s.

They use 1/180s for most of the scenes, a bit of action scene and not action scenes as well.(FYI, it's a British TV show 'Doctor Who' filming process)

Would there be a specific reason for that?

Why would they use 1/180s???

The attached photo is the external screen of actual filming.
