Leica S(006) with Contax-Zeiss 140mm

(Dedicated to UR)
Just a few samples with this outfit. The 140's max aperture is F2.8, closes down all the way to F32, and on the 2nd hand market has a very moderate price point of about $550. It's a very solid lens, like all the Contax 645 lenses, and focuses quickly and smoothly on the Leica S (via the adapter). Very sharp wide open, almost too sharp for portraits by f3.2 already, but versatile enough for other applications and scenes as well (although portraits would be its natural habitat). Since the S006 is a Kodak CCD camera, colors are punchy and very rich. I don't see much about the S system here, so thus may be a useful addition to the conversation.

Taken from across the street, high up. The original file depicts every single piece of the mosaic inlay in great detail. F4

Max aperture at f2.8

Thanks for the interest.
