Hadn't expected to fall in love with this one! Wish it were faster.

I was recently gifted this lens from a fellow photographer. An amazing gift...he had been gifted the lens, didn't feel right selling it and wanted it to be in the hands of a capable photographer who would appreciate it.

I'll admit that I wasn't looking for something so wide nor something this slow (2.8). Still...I likewise didn't feel right selling to fund a different lens.

Well, after shooting with it I am in love with this lens (except that aperture!). One of my first images is posted here. I traveled to Seattle for my nephew's wedding and made this my travel lens (with my 35mm f2 in my pocket). I have a dog series "dogs I meet", call it a photojournalist's approach to dogs...and this lens is perfect!
Phenomenally sharp lens and able to focus to 4" which is amazing for my dog photography! One of Fuji's oldest X lenses and one of it's best!

Picking up my Dad. SeaTac airport. 14mm f2.8 Pup is about 4" from my lens!
