Re: Tamron 20mm or 17-28mm.

I love shooting wide, it is usually the lens most often on my camera. I am getting ready to sell some gear, but at current have amassed - embarrassingly - the Sony 16-35/2.8, Tamron 17-28/2.8, Sony 24/1.4GM , Sony 20/1.8 and Tamron 35/2.8. For everyday street shooting, the Tamron - which is both sharp and super small/light - is the lens I use more than any of them. I am still trying to decide whether to sell the Sony 16-35/2.8 (which is a somewhat better lens, focal length aside), the Sony 24/1.4 and/or the Sony 20/1.8.

The Tamron is simply an excellent lens that is tiny and hits my sweet spots (although I could not get by without something significantly wider, I would only sell the 16-35 to invest in a wider but heavier zoom, the Sigma or Sony).
