Birds, Butterflies and Fall Nature

After quite a few weeks of little photographic activity I managed to visit two of my usual sites such as Urquhart Butterfly garden and the Riverside Park in Cambridge.

Fall is definitely marching on

Blue Jays are hoping to get some peanuts from park visitors

And so is this Red Squirrel

This B.J was lucky and is sitting on a stash of seeds

Bare thistles are always a sign of fall

Not all Monarchs have taken to migrating to the south

Some Monarchs are still enjoying the nectar of the flowers and filling up on energy for the trip south

Bird on a barbed wire. Does that not sound like a song?

A large Mute Swan towering over a little Mallard

SWIF. They produce quite a racket during their take-off

B. J in a tree scouting for some seeds or peanuts

One last Monarch before the days end.

Sunset at the confluence of the Grand River and the Speed River

The Grand, meandering lazily through the landscape in Cambridge, ON with a flock of birds enjoying the beautiful sunset
