NYC during the Pandemic
13

I’ve been in New York for a few weeks helping get my daughters setup for school, and I was struck by the contrast of normal ‘busy’ streets and what I see now. Josh’s recent thread on London struck a very similar tone. Imagine going to the Statue of Liberty with no lines, no waiting, and no people? Imagine Grand Central Station with fewer people than tracks? Imagine Broadway at Times Square with almost nobody in sight? Imagine taking pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge on a beautiful summer evening with only a few others on the bridge? Imagine a completely empty subway car at the World Trade Center at lunch time? Just feels so strange.

Here’s a Flickr album with some highlights.
