When using a FF lens on the an A7RIV in crop mode do you also multiply the aperture by 1.6? Example would a 85mm 1.8 FF lens in crop mode now give me a focal range and aperture of 136mm 2.8?

No, physically but has APS-C 1.5x crop on FF equivalency,

Not only you have 1.5x FL equivalency but also 1.5x aperture equivalency in IQ. F1.8 FF lens in APS-C crop mode is eq to F2.7 (roughly f2.8) on FF in these areas - DOF, total light collection that deteriorates entire IQ department to an APS-C sensor level - resolution/sharpness (down to 26mp), DR (similar to A6xxx sensors), SNR (shadow area will have more noise after pushing up), high ISO.

You gain in effective FL 'reach' but lose in IQ, no free lunch.
