Advise on Canon 5D Mark ii for vintage lenses (vs Sony A7 & Fuji)

Hello guys!
I have a collection of Takumar lenses that I love to use with my Sony A7 (mk1) and Fujifilm bodies. Of course, focus peaking is a dream to use. However, lately I have been very fond of the "Canon colours" and been looking at replacing the Sony A7 with a Canon 5D Mark II as they're somewhat similar in price.
I'm well aware of the technical limitations of OVFs compared to EVFs when it comes to manual focusing but is it really that much harder? WOuld a focusing screen for Canon help?
Do you advise against this? What's your opinion? Is this idea absurd? Am I stupid for even considering this?
p.s. I don't have experience manual focusing with OVF except for the older Pentax bodies with focus confirmation (catch-in focus).
Thanks in advance!
