I have the Voigtländer 110. Bought it just recently. Just started in macro photography and I cannot say anything sensible about focus shift with this lens. Much of the information about this lens, I got from Fred Miranda on his website.

About the Voigtlander 110 he says:

“...There is zero focus shift when focusing at macro or infinity distance.....”

very informative!

Thanks. I'm going to research the Voigtlander more and might give it a try. The main reason I  picked the Laowa is the 2X magnification, but to tell the truth, I think I was naive in thinking that I can use it  without a tripod at that level.

Just came out from my 2nd outing with the lens. Went to the botanical garden and it was really challenging getting anything in-focus when shooting at 2X. The DOF was so thin even at f/8-f/11 and the a7r4 is not forgiving, so I couldn't go lower than 1/30s.

Thanks everyone for the input.
