D800, no question, its marginally more expensive than a D700, with image quality that still outperforms most cameras today. D810 is still pricey relative to what you get compared to a D800 (the only significant improvement being 1080/60 in filming). D800/E has better construction too, mount build has less plastic/more metal.

And I suggest it over the D700 because you can keep your spare batteries and SD cards from your current camera, and keep them when you feel like changing to a newer Nikon camera. D700 batteries are obsolete and only use CF cards.
