D700 & D3 have absolutely minimal improvement in high iso compared to D7200 and you're better off with the D7200 at base iso. Base of D700 is 200 iso. Beware of D3, no dust shaker and most have been thrashed.

Nikon offered free recall of any D600 so there is no good reason to find a D600 with the oil spatter problem now.

The D600/D610 is an economical way of getting good high and low iso quality. You can get still better with the D800/E but it costs more.

I think the extra 100-200 of the D800 is well worth it for the AF, image quality and slightly better controls but it has a noisier shutter and works slower.
