If the M50 has tot wait for a next production line until it gets a new sensor any upgrade is worthless until a new processor comes along.

so what type of Photography do you do that its only the sensor in the M50 that is holding you back???

Why would the sensor of the M50 hold me back? I was discussing what would be improved over the M50 if there's no new sensor and no new processor in an M50mkII, as without one of those upgrading seams useless.

It's not about holding back in photography, it's about holding back for upgrading the current M50 or not.

and what aspects of the sensor do you need to be improved ?

Sensor read out for better AF is the main thing for me (but that can be achieved with another processor too), more dynamic range would be welcome, and more Mp would be welcome too.

sounds like the M6mkii is the body for you

Sounds like an M body with the 32Mp sensor could be a body for me. We where discussing a successor of the M50, remember?

we was? we have gone off topic then...am certain the OP was something about the M5

It was also about a successor.

Hopefully this is a sign that M5 mark II is coming, not that they will no longer produce a SLR-format midrange M body.

That successor has broadened from M5mkII only to M50mkII or M7, whatever upcoming M bodies will be called.
