If the M50 has tot wait for a next production line until it gets a new sensor any upgrade is worthless until a new processor comes along.

I think you are missing the point of the M50. It appears a lot of people have a skewed perspective of the M50 since it is the 2nd highest performing M camera of all time. The M50 is an entry level model. Price conscious first-timers are the primary target for this model, not experienced users looking for an upgrade.

I just did a search on B&H for mirrorless cameras with a kit lens for $700, or less.

Canon EOS M50
Canon EOS M100
Canon EOS M200
Fuji X-A7
Olympus E-M10 III
Olympus E-PL10
Panasonic G7
Panasonic G85
Panasonic GX85
Sony A5100
Sony A6000

I don't think anyone would consider the competition to be a state of the art tour de force. The only thing the M50 II needs to compete with this group is a "NEW" placard next to it on the store shelf.  Oh yeah.... the M50 II also needs that new Instagram vertical video mode that was introduced with the T8i/850D/Kiss X10i.
