I forgot what it's called (someone will chime in--I think it is an interference pattern) but the very fine surface texture is causing the color band.

It's a problem that has nothing to do with the lens--it's an artifact created by (I think) the ultra-fine pixel pattern on the sensor interfering with the surface texture.

I imagine if you shoot just about any other subject there will be no color band.
