Am I the only one "put out" about no GPS in R5 or R6?

I have 5D4 and one other Canon body that has built-in GPS which I love because of some of these wandering out of the way trips I make. I was thinking about maybe getting one of the R bodies but I don't know how hard it is to synchronize where you make photos to your cell phone and then paste the location to your photo files.

Would appreciate any comments.

not happy about NO GPS on a near $4K camera.. madness is what I say.. why would I want to jump thru hoops.. do a tap dance just to sync my phone and the Canon Camera Connect app with this $4K camera.. I like e-z.. and using Canon's Camera Connect or any other GPS Sync app to TRY to sync with the camera does not always work.. been using my 6D MKII for many long cruises ( before C-19 hit us all) sailing for 5 to 6 months a year.. no problems with excessive battery usage on hundreds of pics that I normally take in each port/ location.. I just carry a spare battery and using the 6dMkII's built-in GPS I know it is logged in for each pic just like your 5DMKIV does.. but as I say 'to each his own' for those that like to adapt what shouldn't have to be in the first place.. looks like with this and other misses and problems with them I'll stay with DSLR's for now.. no intention of going mirrorless any time soon..

my Canon 6DMkII sure beats using that ol' Petri 7s 35mm back in 1967 in RVN
