Well there are the autofocus floor light-level ratings.  They are loosely related to sensor sensitivity, but not necessarily a direct indicator.  The M5 was rated at -1 EV, the M6 Mark II at -5 EV.  Which actually resulted in a huge improvement in AF (IME).  I don’t have the dynamic range floor ratings in front of me, but there should be improvements seen in those charts too.

However a person would need the two cameras side by side to see if the display was any different, as there are firmware-imposed restrictions on the camera’s low-light displaying (FPS).  I can say that the M6ii’s “Display Performance” setting has no effect on the low light brightness of the display though.

Maybe someone who still has both cameras can provide more input.
