Re: Yongnuo YN-14EX Macro Ring Flash Instruction Manual

I am not an expert, but here is my 2 cents worth

In ETTL mode the flash duration should be variable according to the power output. At lease, that was the way I understood it worked in the old days.

In manual mode full power should be 1/1000 sec.

1/2 power should be 1/2000 sec.

1/4 power should be 1/4000 sec.

1/8 power should be 1/8000 sec.

1/16 power should be 1/16000 sec.

1/32 power should be 1/32000 sec.

1/64 power should be 1/64000 sec.

The only way to be sure would to contact Yongnuo. Evidently Studio Flash work on a different principle. Maybe modern flashes can vary the actual power in lumens instead of varying the flash duration.

But with high speed photography you will need to do your own testing.

Kind regards

Chris
