The D800e provides IQ on par with the D810. Benefit of the D810 for me was its ability to have a split rear screen which was helpful when using a tilt shift lens.

The D850 provides a mixed blessing with its 45MP sensor that has a pronounced negative impact on workflow but accompanied with the latest generation of autofocus with more cross sensors and a dedicate AF processor.

For static subjects the D800e is as good as the D850 and who really needs 45MP in the studio? I cannot see any studio photography need for even the D800e and something like the D610 is plenty good enough and has dual SD card slots and provides Live View.
