Hi again Daniel. To respond to your last-----

That looks like a great head! I don't think it would solve my problem though, which is that I'd like to be able to tilt my camera from regular landscape orientation into portrait orientation for vertical shots. I currently use a cheapish Manfrotto tilt head which allows me to point the lens up and down, much like your RSS head but without any damping. But when shooting events, say a bicycle race, it would be great if I had some more flexibility and could tilt the camera sideways for vertical shots. I've found a few possible solutions (affordably priced, too) on AliExpress but I haven't decided yet what to get in

I post a photo of the item comb o in vertical. Which gets to be in the same axis as the monopod. It is no lightweigh butdoes the job...

Old lenses never die nor fade away. They just get to be called legacy objects. Some might even say orphans. I like orphans. Adorable and adaptable.

The telephoto combo from days of Zuiko ED past adapted to micro four thirds EM-1... Still shiny and buffed. Zoom lens collar shifted for vertical camera position....head can be shifted to fore and aft swivel mount. Still manufactured. Tight lock down, strong enough for heavy weight lenses.
