I keep the ED 50-200 mm mainly for that purpose now along with the almost forgotten teleconverter EC 14.

Lo and behold it still works and is sharp enough for my eyes. Heavy to carry I suppose, I feel it. Doable. With a monopod i can even keep the target subject in the EVF frame at full reach...

I still have and love my Zuiko 50-200m as well, and use it with my E-M1. What kind of head on your monopod do you use it with?

Hi, Daniel.

The RRS monopod head, which is not a ball head, since I provide the lateral motion with my legs. And you will see that I bought a bevel headed plate for the foot of the lens....I should use it more, but it was great then and is great now. Bought the ED Zoom 50-200 from Adorama . was an in demand product at time, was around 900 dollars and seem a lot for me then...because it is SHARP and water resistant. I had several E series cameras.

Of course, it will not make the companies any profit or give bragging rights for the latest and greatest. For those I got enough micro four thirds lenses, and they are fine as well.

No need for the REACH some legitimately strive for. My reach is always within my grasp,to twist a phrase for my purpose
