An Adobe RGB monitor would better enable you to see what your final print will look like before you print it but will have no influence on the print itself.

I process and print all my photos using ProPhoto RGB, which has an even wider gamut that aRGB, because I want the print to reflect as much color information as is available, but my monitor is just a sRGB one because I can't afford the $700+ on a aRGB one, and my prints look fine.
