Canon’s Japan website has quietly moved the M5 to the “discontinued” section. RIP.

Hopefully this is a sign that M5 mark II is coming, not that they will no longer produce a SLR-format midrange M body.

There will be another body with build in viewfinder and that 32Mp sensor one day. The question is: how long do we have to wait? I think it will be there within one year.

Actually i don't care about the internal viewfinder anymore since i have my R for low light work with speedlites.

Hmm. The main situation in which I missed the internal viewfinder with the finder-less EOS M2 the most was not low light, but under bright sunlight that washes out the image on an uncovered LCD.

The external viewfinder solves that problem good enough i think

That said, I’m also wondering whether my next M should be the rumored high-end M, or the inevitable M300 with the 32MP sensor. As much as I like having the viewfinder on my M5, I want my M system to remain small (I can use the R in situations where small is not important), and the rumored M doesn’t sound small at all.

It's just a rumor. I think Canon will keep M small. Most customers forget to think about equivalent apertures and such anyway. As long as they maintain that artificial size restriction for M lenses they won't come up with a bigger body all of a sudden.
