Canon R5 with Spider-Eye auto focus
15

I had to try it.  I have a lot of jumping spiders in my area, so they are pretty easy to come across.  I found this little female after the R5 came in and decided to see if the Animal Eye AF would track a jumping spider.  Yep!  I was dealing with a really thin DoF so I could drift too far out of it or else the lens would hunt, but when the spider was in focus the AF locked right onto the eye(s).  It was pretty fun to watch the AF point move along with the spider.
Overall, this isn't a really practical way to shoot these, just it was a fun test!
I was using the Canon 100mm f/2.8L IS lens and a Raynox DCR-250 attached to it.
