Hey. I am buying a new camera soon and right now these two cameras cost more or less the same. I got an XT2 and the 23mmf2 + 18-55, 55-200, 12mmf2.

I'm in need of a backup camera for photoshoots, travel etc.

If I get the the X100V I will sell the XF23mmf2 and get the 35mm 1.4 for my XT2

X100v is not a true backup, becauase it is fixed lens. If your XT2 breaks up, you will be limited.

If I get the Xpro 2 I will keep the 23mm and get the xf35mmf2

If you can stretch the budget, get the 35 f1.4.

I do prints up to A1 (24x33 inches) fine art.

Any camera will do it fine.

Is the difference in quality any noticable on A1 prints?

No.

I like travelling light but also want good optics for portraits.

The XPRO2 is not the lighter option. I suggest an XT30with the 35 f1.4.

I don't care about filming, fast AF or touchscreens. I want beautiful quality photos for printing.

Hopefully going to Africa next year and will be out in the wild with my gear.

One more reason to get a camera that allows changing lenses:)
