I think it really depends on what you want in a camera. The 100v is a great, fun camera! But it's a fixed lens camera. I love mine!

I look at it as a point n shoot camera on steroids. I has great image quality and a lot of features that some cameras don't have. Leaf shutter, neutral density, build-in flash, digital zoom, sharp 23mm F2 lens, with a smaller footprint.

I looked at purchasing the 100v to compliment my T-3. Something that I only think about taking pictures, not which lens do I need.

Either one will give you the same image quality. The pro will allow you to change lenses. If you want that ability then choose the pro.
