Would I not be right in saying that an 18-140 is a DX lens?

And therefore on a Z50, which is technically a mirrorless DX body, it will always be an 18-140?

Nope. A DX lens on a DX camera is still “upgraded” 1.5 X.

You would not be right. An 18–140 mm lens on a Z 50 would be equivalent to a 27–210 mm lens on a FX camera,

Obviously but the Z50 isn't an FX camera so that equation is unnecessary.

As far as DX cameras are concerned an 18-140 is just that.

đź‘Ť, Jester, go for it. Buy the Z 50, mount the 18-140, and tell us how it goes.

however you choose to phrase it. See my screenshot above for an example.

I'm not with you . . , ?

And incidentally, for those posters above who scolded me for misusing the phrase “focal length”, please note below that the excellent app PhotoMeta is guilty of the same blunder.

I'm not interested in that.
