From where I'm shooting an articulated screen isn't of real importance.
The first camera body I bought with such a feature was the K1, and you know, I have hardly ever used it.
I guess you can put this down to the fact that I had lived 45 years with SLRs or other bodies that didn't have moving rear screens, and yet I have managed to take the pictures I wanted to.
I've lived 49 years with Pentax SLRs and Pentax dSLRs without moving rear screens.
And I know from personal experience how much benefit I get from my K-1-series screen!
I wouldn't buy this sort of camera without an articulated screen.
It's not a competition, but I understand your needs are different to mine and you evidently take far more pictures than me.
Now I can appreciate that many here or elsewhere swear by their Art screens, but give me anyday a smaller, lighter more robust body. And since those are the reasons I bought my first SLR and then a Pentax SLR, I ll be quite happy if the new body hasn't got an articulating rear screen.
My successive Pentax SLRs have tended to get larger with each model over the years.
(ME Super excluded!)
I make them even larger by using battery grips.
This gives me a better hand-grip when using large lenses in burst-mode.
I'm well aware of the fact that SLRs have in general become 'bigger' and more complex over the years.
Comparing a film MX to a digital K1 is like comparing chalk and cheese, even if you could use the K1 like a MX. 😊
I regret the past models because you would pay and use what you paid for. Today you buy a camera body with options that often sit unused.
Compare a users manual of the seventies with a manual of today........
I have said this before but I'll say it again. If a simple SLR digital model could be produced, without all the bells and whistles, I would be a customer.........with Art screen or not.
I sometimes feel making DSLR so complex just pushes new potential customers away.
Nice collection.

Ps I couldn't carry all the gear you seem to have in your camera bags. It would take the pleasure out of the walking......And that can be difficult enough 😳
