- Your flash is too bright. Most of the whites are in saturation + a lot of detail is lost at sharp contrast edges due to the high flash intensity

Most lenses outresolve most sensors by far, otherwise we would not get results near the sensor resolution. Scanning something at its own resolution about halves it.

Well, it's not my flash, it's DPR's. These are Raws from their studio scene.

- What is your take on the results from the dpreview comparison tool? R5 + R are a lot better, RP slightly better than the 5D II. Do you think they use noise reduction if "RAW" is selected?

Their Raw developments are done in ACR, which used to apply baseline noise reduction that cannot be turned off. Not sure if this is still the case, but DPP has always delivered the most "pure" output I could find, apart from free software like dcraw (which has problems getting the colors right).

Therefore, I think the comparison tool is most effective for people who also use ACR or camera JPEGs. I don't use either so I thought I'd compare with DPP output.
