Canon EOS R for Livestreaming Long Events

Hi All

Looking at getting the Canon EOS R as an upgraded work camera which will be used predominately for marketing photos and videography at a school.

However, we are also needing to livestream some major events coming up (graduation, awards evening etc) and I am wondering if this camera will be suitable for this as well?

I've read some mixed reviews about these cameras overheating when recording for longer periods of time and obviously can't afford for that to happen mid-stream.

Does anyone have any experience with livestreaming a 2 hour event with the EOS R? Is it going to overheat on me?

Planning on using the Elgato HD60 S capture card with it so will only be running at 1080 not 4K, if that helps?

Don't want to tell the boss to get this camera and then not have it work for the events which is the reason I'm allowed to get the upgrade (currently using a Canon EOS 6D which is why I'm jumping at the opportunity to get an upgrade).

Thanks in advance for anyone with experience or anyone willing to offer alternative cameras that they know will be suitable for this purpose (preferably Canon as all our current gear is Canon).
