Best recommendation would be to adapt to the new flash shoe from the old Minolta style on the A65. I generally detest adapters, but I had good luck with this one while I was using it.

For flash on and off camera the Adorama Flashpoint R2 (clone of the Godox) system works great and is designed to work well with one another in a multiflash setup.  They're also very reasonably priced if you see what the competition is offering.
