Says you, have you actually tried it? The 10-18mm APS-c gives 14-18mm FF coverage on FF DSLR. It is a great light and small lens with IS and a nice wide angle range, great for travel.

And not too expensive. If the plastic mount bothers you, it can be swapped with a metal one. Works with Canon FF DSLR, but sadly the firmware of the mirrorless cameras force a crop. Adapted to Sony FF, it is nice compact and affordable ultra wide zoom. Too bad Canon doesn’t want to let their FF mirrorless users benefit from this gem.

The Tamron is a little longer (10mm) and has a large diameter (77mm filter), goes from 13mm-24mm on FF mirrorless Canons, has IS but a bit pricey. Looks like that’s the way to go with the RP.
